North Shore Road Trip Part 2: Sea Turtles

Once we made it to the North Shore, we pulled over at a beach where sea turtles are regularly sighted and there was one on the beach when we got there! We also saw some swimming out in the water--too bad we didn't have snorkeling gear with us! There are volunteers that sit on the beach all day waiting for the turtles to come ashore. Once they do, they rope them off so that visitors don't get too close. It is illegal to touch them or harass them in anyway and the police were at the beach to enforce it!
