Apple orchard

We took our yearly trip to the apple orchard yesterday. I don't know if it's becoming a more popular place to go, or if the apple crop wasn't as good this year, but there were hardly any apples on the trees! We did find some of our favorites though, Song of September, back in the very corner of the orchard. We also enjoyed our treat of apple turnovers with cinnamon ice cream that we get every year.

Danny on the tractor ride to the orchard. At first he wasn't too sure about the whole tractor thing, but ended up enjoying it. There is one point where the tractor drives through a creek and the driver stops in the middle and acts like the tractor has stalled out. Then he tells a story about the alligator that lives in the creek and that to get the tractor started again, we all have to say "go Bessie, go". We didn't think that Danny was really paying attention, but during the car ride home he talked about the alligator and kept saying go Bessie, go. :)
