Danny had a construction themed birthday party. He loves all things trucks and can tell the difference between dump trucks, excavators, backhoe loaders, front loaders, compactors, pavers, graders, and all kinds of other trucks.
For party hats, we got construction hats for each of the kids and then let them decorate them with truck stickers.
We had the kids do the limbo and this turned out to be a great idea--so much fun to watch! They got really excited about it once the stick was low enough that they had to crawl to get under it.
Even Patrick joined in fun and crawled under.
Danny picked out a John Deere tractor pinata. We were going to get a dump truck pinata to match the theme of the party, but once he saw the tractor, there was no changing his mind. (He has a fascination with John Deere tractors)
Opening his gifts.
Danny's friend Owen showing him how the Toy Story card plays music.
Pizza time!
Danny could not wait to dig into his cake. He wanted to play with those trucks so bad.
Getting ready to blow out his candles.
Shooting off rockets outside. The rocket launcher was a favorite of all the kids.
