Well, we survived the move to our new house! Moving is never fun, but we planned well and everything went as smoothly as possible. And of course, we had some great help! My mom and grandma were with us throughout the entire move, helping to clean, unpack, get everything organized, and watch the kids. My dad was here over the weekend helping to move things to the new house and started on a few projects that needed to be done around here. Nate's friend Brandon, who is one in a million, volunteered himself to help move boxes on a day when temperatures reached 105 degrees. And my friend Danielle spent a day with us watching the kids and then took Danny to the pool in the afternoon. We couldn't have done it without them all! In just a few short days, the new house was live-able and our old house was repainted and cleaned top to bottom so that it would be ready for the tenant who moved in last weekend.
Enjoy the pics from the past couple of weeks.
Danny enjoyed pushing his trains around "Brooks' bend" on one of our last days at the old house.

We went to see fireworks at night, which Danny LOVED! All the way home he kept asking why the fireworks were over and even cried because he wanted to watch more.

Brooks is SUCH a smiley baby! He coos a lot when we talk to him, which seems to always end in him getting the hiccups. And he has started giggling a little bit too. Pretty soon we'll be getting some good belly laughs out of him.
Danny's first night in his big boy bed. He did great! We had ordered the bed about a month ago, but since we were moving, we decided not to pick it up until we were at the new house...no sense in moving it twice. He seemed a little unsure about it when we first brought it home, insisting that the other bedroom with the crib was his. But as soon as we put the bed rail on, he was much more okay with the idea.
Brooks' first night in the crib! At the old house, he had been sleeping in the pack 'n play in our room since we only had two bedrooms. Now we actually have a nursery!

The weekend after we moved, we went to Madison for the weekend to visit with Nate's family. Sort of crazy going away for the weekend with things so unsettled at home, but it was fun to see everyone and nice to get away from the mess at our house for a little bit. The cousins all had a great time playing with each other. Elise was so interested in Brooks--whoever had Brooks also had Elise. :)

Nate had all of the kids lined up playing a game with Daisy. They would
tell her to stay and then they would all go to the other side of the
room (once all the way to the basement) and then on the count of three
they all said "Daisy, come!". They thought it was awesome. :)
Brooks is starting to try to reach for objects. He practices using his hands a lot.
