There was a free event at Kinnick Stadium on Saturday where kids could go and watch the Hawkeyes practice and all concessions were half price. We decided to take Danny (and Brooks) thinking it would be a fun little outing. As we neared the stadium, we started to realize there was nothing "little" about it. The cars were backed up the same as if it were game day. Once we got there, we found out the stadium parking lot was full and got sent to park at the basketball arena. But that one was full too, so we ended up parking in a parking garage and walking to the stadium. We found some great seats and then Danny and Nate went to get some food....and were gone for 45 minutes(!!) because the lines were so long. Meanwhile, I was trying my best to shade Brooks from the sun since babies can't wear sunscreen for some reason. But, when all was said and done, Danny enjoyed it. Probably because of the hot dog and nachos. :)
