Labor Day Weekend

We had an event-filled labor day weekend!  Nate's parents came to spend the weekend with us and see our new house.  Nate and his dad took down our shed over the course of the weekend.  At first we thought they were just going to remove the roof because it had a hole in it and part of one side since the wood had rotted where water leaked through the hold, so they took off the roof and the siding on the bad side.  But the more we looked at it, the more we realized that the previous owners had really just sided over a rotten building.  So they ended up taking the whole thing down.  The siding is still good and most of one wall is good, so we're going to salvage what we can and begin building a new shed.  On Sunday, Nate's sister and her family joined the party and we had a good time hanging out and watching the cousins play.

The Hoberts got to town right as the last walls were about to come down, so Nate Hobert joined in.

Grandpa Meyer brought an apple picker to reach the high-hanging apples in the tree.

Each of the kids picked an apple and when we were done, we made apple crisp from our freshly picked apples.

Grace collected all of the baby toys for Brooks to keep him entertained.
