Daddy's helper

Danny has been all about helping us out lately.

When we moved into our new house, we wanted to put all of our old furniture in the basement and order new for upstairs. The only problem was that the sofa wouldn't fit down the stairs. In fact, the movers put holes in our walls trying to get it down there before giving up and hauling it back upstairs. Over several months we brainstormed all of the ways we could get it down there (maybe we could take out one of the basement windows?). Until one day Nate had the idea of cutting it in half. Of course I thought he was crazy, but then came to the conclusion that we didn't really have anything to lose.

So then Danny cut the couch in half with the new saw he got for Christmas. :)

And in case you didn't believe me, here is our couch cut apart. We carried each piece down the stairs and reassembled it. And you can't even tell that it was in two pieces. Nate's crazy idea turned out to be really good!

We touched up the walls where holes had been repaired.

Danny got his very own snow shovel for Christmas, so every time it snows he wants to go out and scoop. He feels bad that mommy is left out and says that I need my very own shovel too. :)
Brooks likes to watch everything that's going on. And I guess Daisy likes to watch too.
