We're still working on our deck and we are making good progress!

I love the diagonal flooring on the central section of our deck. It was a little more work, but worth it I think.

We hosted Nate's side of the family at our house for a long weekend. The cousins had fun playing together and we had fun watching them have fun. :)

We went to the Iowa State Fair and Danny got to milk a cow.

Brooks LOVES animals. Here he is looking at a baby ostrich.

We took a trip down the giant slide. Brooks was a little unsure of the whole thing until we got to the end and he got a huge smile on his face.

Danny wanted to go again, so Grandpa took him.

We saw Clifford. Danny decided last minute that he didn't want to get too close and Brooks was trying to get away in this picture.

Danny participated in the summer reading program at the Iowa City Public Library where they gave away prizes (good prizes!) for meeting reading goals. His last prize included a pass for one hour of free bowling for the family. I cannot describe how EXCITED Danny was before, during, and after bowling.

We even let Brooks roll a ball down the lane and after he pushed it off, he would turn around and strut proudly back to the seating area. He wants to be part of everything we're doing!
