Apple Orchard & Pumpkin Patch

Today was the perfect fall day...so we took a trip out to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch. Last year, Danny rode around in a baby carrier so this year was quite the contrast. This was the first time we took a trip out to the orchard without the Hoberts, so they were missed today!
Danny with his basket, all ready to hop on the tractor ride to go pick some apples!
He loved running up and down the rows of apple trees.

Danny picking his first apple off the tree.

Taking a big bite of a tasty apple! We tried different varieties of apples as we walked through the orchard. At one point, we looked away from Danny for about a second, only to turn around and find that he was munching on a half-eaten apple he had picked up off the ground. Yuck! We made sure he had his own apple to carry around after that.

We found some pumpkins out in the patch (But didn't get one today).

This would have been a cute family picture if Danny would have just looked at the camera!
Checking out all of the pumpkins.

We ended our afternoon with our yearly tradition: a warm apple turnover topped with cinnamon ice cream.
